Reconnecting With Your Intuition

Wanting to strengthen, or finally connect to your intuition? This one is for you babe!

Intuition is our powerful inner voice that acts as a GPS, guiding us through our lives with little nudges, pings or gut feelings. However, for many, tapping into our intuition can be challenging due to past programming and limiting beliefs, but the more we use it, the stronger it becomes and helps guide us to a life of authenticity and ease. Our first month of Wild Women’s Collective will be all about training and amplifying our intuition, but until then, I’m giving you a sneak peek and sharing a few of my favorite practices for tapping into and living out an intuition-led life: 

  1. Use it! -  We strengthen our intuition by simply using it! Follow every little hunch or gut feeling, no matter how silly or crazy it may seem. The next time you get a ping to go in a certain store or stop in a park or call that friend you haven’t talked to in ages, do it! The more we flex our intuition muscle the stronger it becomes and the more comfortable we are trusting ourselves, especially in bigger moments! 

  2. Spend time in nature – Nature is powerful. When we remove all the noise we’re surrounded by every day, whether it’s the news, social media, friends, co-workers, e-mail, etc., we are able to hear our own inner voice much more clearly and quickly. As we subconsciously absorb everything around us, we can become blocked to our intuition. Give yourself the gift of a mini energetic detox by putting away your phone, closing out your email and heading outside. This small but mighty practice is vital for your health & wellbeing and in keeping you connected to your intuition. 

  3. Move! – Our bodies absorb so many intuitive hits on a daily basis from built up emotions and past traumas. When we give our bodies the freedom to move with no agenda, we actually begin releasing stagnant energy. Turn down the lights, put on something comfy and light some candles and just let your body move, allowing it to take whatever postures feel most authentic and needed. Maybe it’s invigorating dance or a slow yoga flow – find whatever feels good to you and allows you to connect to your higher self

  4. Meditate – One of my favorite ways to gain clarity is through a breathwork practice followed by meditative journaling. It allows me to get out of my head and out of my own way. When we’re clear and in our flow after breathwork, we can unlock a lot of what our subconscious is trying to tell us by allowing ourselves to write down whatever comes through our stream of consciousness. During your next meditative journaling session, ask yourself these questions: 

  • What beliefs and feelings does the next level, intuitive AF version of me have?

  • How does she or he move through daily life?

  • What do I need right now, in this moment? 

  • Show me what else is possible. 

  • If I had the answers, I would say …” 

    These are just some of my favorite ways to tap into my intuition, but it’s important to find whatever works best for you. Release the need for your practice to feel, look or sound a certain way and go for whatever feels the most natural and authentic to you.
